Transportation

We ask that you remember that the bus zones on the south side of the school and at the front doors of the school are NOT student drop off zones. We ask that no one stop in these areas.

Student drop off and pick up zones are as follows: on the south side of the school west of the crosswalk and on the west side of the school to the north of the crosswalks. Access to the schoolyard on the northwest side of the school will be available once winter is over!

We ask that bike riders walk their bikes on the sidewalk until they are past the busses. Please help us ensure student safety by reminding all children to stay on the sidewalk close to the fence if a bus is pulling into or out of a bus zone. Car and truck drivers are asked to give busses lots of space to pull in and out. Busses need more space to pull in and out than do cars. Please do not crowd the busses!

It has been noticed that some parents are walking between the busses to cross the street to their vehicles rather than using the crosswalk. Please remember that the Danger Zone around the school bus is 10 feet in any direction. Small children cannot always be seen. If you are a parent who is taking this short cut, please reconsider for your own and your children’s safety! Please set a good example for all children by using the crosswalk.
