Grade 5 Over Night Field Trip
18 Jun
Dear Parents,
The rain over the past few days has had us all a bit worried here at the school, but we’ve been in touch with the folks at Beauvais Lake and Camp Impeesa, and they tell us that all is well up there. Roads are not washed out, and water levels are safe, so our field trip is still a go. However the forecast for the Pincher/Crowsnest area on Monday includes some rain. With that in mind please make sure that your student includes in his/her backpack (the one that will be handy in the bus, along with lunch for that day!) appropriate footwear (such as hiking boots or rubber boots) and a rain poncho/jacket/garbage bag. If it is too soggy on Monday night we are prepared with inside activities rather than canoeing/obstacle course etc. Instead we’ll have some crafts, movies (G rated), board games, and music.
Our itinerary says that we need to leave the school at 8:00 a.m. on Monday morning, so please have your student here by 7:45 a.m. so we can load on time. We should be back on Tuesday before buses leave the school.
Thanks in advance for making sure that students are here on time with clothing that’s appropriate for the weather (whatever that ends up being!).
Yours truly,
Grade 5 teachers
